Planning permission secured for Lowestoft affordable homes scheme Thursday, 13th April 2017

Ingleton Wood’s Planning Team have secured planning permission for a new development consisting of 18 affordable homes on Albany Road, Lowestoft.

The plans were designed and submitted on behalf of developer Orwell Housing and Waveney District Council - it is thought that work will begin early this summer with a 12 month build phase to follow.

Replacing an existing car park, the development will comprise of 12 one-bedroom flats and six two-bedroom flats, all for affordable rent.

The scheme was given the go ahead earlier this month and will help Lowestoft’s identified need for new, lost cost homes.

Located in a prominent position on the northern gateway into the town centre, the development also includes associated parking and cycle storage. Six public parking spaces will also be available along the access road.
