Colchester office recently embarked on their latest team building event to Newmarket Races and Newmarket Nights to see Kaiser Chiefs.
Leaving the office at 2pm they made their way by coach to the racecourse, all in high spirits and enjoying a few refreshing beverages on the journey!
Upon arrival staff tucked into a catered picnic and a glass or two of prosecco before embarking on the team building quiz.
The 35 member of Colchester staff that attended the event and were split into teams for the quiz with each team name appropriately selected for a day at the races, including Man O’ War, Black Beauty, Sea Biscuit, Arkle, Red Rum, Nijinsky and See the Stars.
The winning teams from the quiz were given a £10 starting stake, 2nd place earned their team £9.00, 3rd place £8.00, 4th place £7.00, 5th place £6.00, 6th place £5.00 & last place £5.00.
Remaining in their teams, staff were handed a copy of the racing post and it was down to each team as to how they used their starting stakes to try and win the most money by the end of the night i.e. bets to win, each-way, accumulators or lucky 15’s etc. Betting slips were kept as proof of spends and winnings with any profits donated to charity.
Staff enjoyed a number of races from 17:30 until 20:45 until the grand finale, the Kaiser Chiefs concert which started at 21:30 which rounded off the day nicely.
Everyone had a wonderful afternoon and evening and thanks to the Colchester Social Committee for organising such an enjoyable event.
